Submitted by on January 16, 2010 – 1:31 amNo Comment

The night of a thousand gowns occurs annually and is hosted by The Imperial Court of NY or www.icny.org. In 2009 It was held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in NYC.

It is the most lavish, glamorous, praiseworthy, admirable, and commendable event that occurs annually in NYC at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in NYC located at 46th street and Broadway.

I have nothing but good stories to tell you about this majestic event. An event of Sovereign Royalty.

It’s the 23rd annual Night of a Thousand Gowns where New York celebrates a year of fun and fundraising led by current monarchs, listed below.

It is a gay event, and very tasteful and glamorous whereby the royalty organization crowns various members of the new reign’s monarchs.

This event hosts a full Open Bar, Full Dinner, Dancing, and Entertainment.

For more information or to reserve a ticket, which costs $300 or $150 after 10pm visit their website at www.icny.org

This year their event is scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 2010.

The event is a charity ball and silent auction to benefit, LIFEbeat (an AIDS fighting campaign led by the music industry,) and to benefit Sylvia’s Place, (the MCCNY Homeless Youth Services.) MCCNY is an acronym for Metropolitan Community Churches of New York.

160 “court members” participate in events, who raise money throughout the year through various entertainment channels like sales, club shows, and karaoke.

Every year celebrities are invited to this show and to partake in the party/celebration.

The Venue includes:
Open Bar
Full-Course Dinner
Broadway-caliber Entertainment
Viennese Dessert Buffet
